The Municipality of Lambton Shores has unveiled a conceptual design for the proposed Grand Bend Community Centre, marking an exciting step forward in the project. The design reflects recommendations from a comprehensive Feasibility Study, which determined the need for the facility and identified key features it should include.
The Feasibility Study drew on extensive public input to shape its findings. Community open houses attracted approximately 220 attendees, while an online survey received 893 responses. Workshops brought together representatives from 18 community organizations, and 12 interviews were conducted with municipal council members and stakeholders.
Following a presentation of the conceptual design to council, the municipality is now seeking further feedback from residents. A dedicated webpage provides detailed information about the proposed facility and includes an online survey where residents can share their thoughts and suggestions.
This initiative highlights the municipality’s commitment to creating a community hub that meets local needs and aspirations. Residents are encouraged to review the proposed design and participate in shaping the future of the Grand Bend Community Centre.
