Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services is reminding the community to stay alert for green lights on the roads. These lights, used by local firefighters, help them navigate through traffic quickly as they respond to emergencies.
While the green lights don’t grant any special legal privileges under the Highway Traffic Act, they signal that firefighters are on route to the fire hall or an emergency. Lambton Shores encourages drivers to safely move aside when they see these lights, as every second can make a crucial difference in saving lives and property.
To raise awareness, the fire department has purchased six new large signs that will be placed throughout the community.
