United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH) is looking for dedicated volunteers to join its Community Impact and Allocations Committee (CIAC). This committee plays an important role in deciding how funds are distributed to meet community needs across the region.
Leah Kennedy, UWPH’s Manager of Community Impact, says they are excited to work with volunteers who bring different perspectives and experiences. She encourages those who want to make a difference in the lives of local people to apply.
The CIAC reviews funding applications, ensures money goes to programs that address local issues, and works with community partners. Committee members serve for three years, and UWPH is especially looking for people with an interest or experience in equity work. They hope to recruit volunteers from Huron County, including Bluewater, Central Huron, Huron East, North Huron, Howick, Morris-Turnberry, ACW, South Huron, and Goderich.
