A Snowfall Warning has been issued for Goderich, Bluewater, and Southern Huron County, with significant snowfall expected from late this afternoon into Thursday morning.
Environment Canada warns that 15 to 25 cm of snow could fall, with peak snowfall rates reaching 2 to 4 cm per hour. The heaviest snow is expected tonight, leading to poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions.
Snow will begin late this afternoon, impacting the evening commute. Some areas may see a mix of snow and ice pellets early Thursday morning before precipitation tapers off later in the day.
Drivers should prepare for rapidly accumulating snow and difficult travel conditions, particularly during rush hour. Public Safety Canada advises having an emergency kit ready, including food, water, medicine, a first-aid kit, and a flashlight.
