Quadro Communications is stepping up to support the Rotary Hospice in Stratford with a special matching gift campaign throughout February. For every new donor who signs up for monthly giving, Quadro will match their annual donation—up to a total of $25,000.
The campaign aims to grow Rotary Hospice’s base of sustaining donors, helping to cover the operational costs of providing free, compassionate end-of-life care to those in need across Perth County according to Lucie Stewart, Director of Fund Development at Rotary Hospice.
While the Ministry of Health funds about 50% of the hospice’s annual budget, the other half—over $1 million each year—must be raised through community donations.
Stewart emphasized the importance of this support.
Quadro Communications has a long history of supporting the hospice, having contributed to its initial construction before it opened in 2019. Maggie Whitcroft, Marketing Coordinator at Quadro Communications, said the company’s cooperative model makes community support a key priority.
Whitcroft noted that this initiative is especially meaningful to many Quadro staff because of the company’s strong ties to the local community.
Those interested in becoming a monthly donor can visit rotaryhospice.ca and navigate to the “Support Us” section. Donations of any amount make a difference—even $10 a month adds up and with Quadro’s match, that impact is doubled.
Stewart also encouraged those who may have a different local hospice they wish to support to do so, reinforcing the idea that every community can benefit from contributions to its local hospice care services.
