Bruce Eisen, a longtime resident of Lucknow, is running as the Ontario Alliance candidate for MPP in Huron-Bruce in the upcoming provincial election.
Eisen, who grew up on a dairy farm, has spent the last decade working in the lumber industry. His political background includes serving as the former youth president of the Trillium Party of Ontario and later joining the Ontario Alliance’s youth wing. He describes the Ontario Alliance as a “pro-Ontario First, sovereign, common sense, centrist, and democratic reform party.”
One of Eisen’s key campaign issues is protecting prime farmland and green spaces. He opposes the proposed nuclear waste site in the region and believes rural communities must be prioritized when it comes to economic development. He has also expressed concerns about the rising cost of living, arguing that government mismanagement has made life unaffordable for many Ontarians.
If elected, Eisen says his top priority will be promoting local industries and reducing dependence on global supply chains. He supports policies that would encourage Ontarians to buy locally, strengthen small businesses, and reduce reliance on big-box stores. He also advocates for fiscal responsibility, balancing the budget, and lowering taxes.
Eisen’s campaign platform includes 13 key policy areas, including healthcare and education reforms, environmental protections, and democratic accountability measures. He supports referendums on major issues, recall elections for underperforming politicians, and more free votes in the legislature.
Eisen says he is committed to working with other MPPs, regardless of party, to bring positive change to Huron-Bruce.
His focus is on giving local residents more control over decisions that affect them, ensuring their voices are heard at Queen’s Park.
