CBC has declared multiple ridings in our area. In Huron-Bruce, Ben Lobb has been re-elected and will continue to represent the riding in Ottawa. Running for the Conservative Party, Lobb received 36,854 votes, which is 53.3% of the total. Liberal candidate James Rice came in second with 28,623 votes, or 41.4%. NDP candidate Melanie Burrett earned 2,324 votes (3.4%), and Green Party candidate Gregory J. McLean received 916 votes (1.3%). Independent candidates Justin L. Smith and Caesar “Salad” Pella collected 269 votes (0.4%) and 193 votes (0.3%) respectively.

In Middlesex–London, Conservative candidate Lianne Rood has been elected. Rood received 35,824 votes, which gave her 51.8% of the total. Liberal candidate Kent Keenan followed with 28,868 votes, or 41.7%. NDP candidate Taylor McIntosh earned 2,956 votes (4.3%), while Green Party candidate Jim Johnston received 750 votes (1.1%). Cynthia Workman of the People’s Party got 566 votes (0.8%), and UPC candidate Shawn Cartlidge finished with 190 votes (0.3%).

In Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong, Conservative Marilyn Gladu has been re-elected with 40,365 votes, which is 53.3% of the total. Liberal candidate George Vandenberg came in second with 28,553 votes, or 37.7%. NDP candidate Lo-Anne Chan received 4,037 votes, or 5.3%. Brian Everaert of the People’s Party of Canada earned 1,125 votes, or 1.5%. Jacques Y. Boudreau from the Libertarian Party had 970 votes, or 1.3%. Mark Lamore from the Christian Heritage Party received 431 votes (0.6%), and Tony Mitchell from the Rhinoceros Party finished with 195 votes (0.3%).

In Perth–Wellington, Conservative candidate John Nater has been elected. He received 33,850 votes, which gave him 53.2% of the total. Liberal candidate David Mackey followed with 25,892 votes, or 40.7%. NDP candidate Kevin Kruchkywich earned 2,875 votes (4.5%), while Wayne Baker of the People’s Party received 1,066 votes (1.7%).
