The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate after an incident involving police in Middlesex County on the evening of Saturday, May 10th, 2025.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., officers from the Middlesex Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on Butler Street in Lucan Biddulph Township. Upon arrival, a male individual fled the scene in a vehicle, striking two OPP cruisers before heading toward the City of London.
With assistance from the London Police Service, the vehicle was located and stopped on Richmond Street near Jacksway Crescent. During the interaction with officers, the male became unresponsive. First aid was administered at the scene, and he was transported to a local hospital.
