The South Huron community is coming together in a heartfelt way to honour and support Susan Riddell, someone many consider a true rock of the community.
A special rock-painting night is being held at the South Huron Art Centre, located inside the Exeter United Church tonight, where people of all ages are invited to drop in and paint small rocks with hearts and kind messages. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., and all painted rocks will be placed along the MacNaughton Trail, a favourite walking spot of Susan’s. The colourful display is meant to show encouragement and love for an incredible woman who has touched many lives.
In addition to the rock project, Huron Motor Products (HMP) is offering another way to support the cause. They are selling #SueStrong decals at the front reception desk of their sales office. Proceeds from these decals will go toward helping families of cancer patients. The funds will help cover practical costs like hospital parking, fuel, meals, and lost wages—small things that make a big difference during a difficult time.
The community’s show of support is a reminder of the strength that comes from kindness and togetherness. Everyone is encouraged to participate, paint a rock, or pick up a decal to help spread the message of love and support.
