Van Osch Farms in Alisa Craig celebrated the grand opening of their brand-new farm store, and the turnout was incredible! The event took place this past weekend on Creamery Road, and despite some early concerns about the weather, the sun came out and so did the crowds.
According to one of the owners, Brendon Van Osch, the team served up 700 brisket-on-a-bun meals with salad in just an hour and a half.
In total, the event welcomed more than 2,000 people who came out to explore the new store, enjoy local food, and support the community.
The Van Osch family has a long history in the area, with roots going back to the 1950s.
One of the big reasons for opening the store was to offer their own beef directly to customers. For years, most of their cattle were processed at large packing plants, making it hard for the family to access their own meat. After partnering with Parkhill Meats in 2020 and launching an online store, demand quickly grew. That eventually led to the creation of the new retail space.
Now, the farm store offers a wide variety of products with everything proudly made or raised in Ontario.
The store is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
