The Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend has announced its 2025 theatre season, and it’s filled with exciting shows for audiences of all ages. From popular Broadway musicals to classic comedies and family-friendly entertainment, the new season offers something for everyone.
The season will run from June 4th to August 31st across two stages, the Mainstage and the South Huron Stage.
On the Mainstage, audiences can look forward to “Jesus Christ Superstar,” a rock opera that explores the final days of Jesus Christ and his relationships with his followers. That show runs from June 11th to June 28th. It will be followed by “Evita,” which tells the story of Eva Perón’s rise to power as Argentina’s First Lady. “Evita” will be on stage from July 9th to July 26th. The Mainstage season wraps up with “Shrek The Musical,” a fun-filled production based on the hit animated movie, running from August 6th to August 31st.
Over at the South Huron Stage, the season begins with “Cinderella: The Panto” from June 4th to June 21st. This lighthearted and interactive show puts a twist on the classic fairy tale and is sure to delight audiences of all ages. Next up is “Country Roads: The Songs of John Denver,” a musical tribute celebrating the music of the famous singer-songwriter. That show runs from June 26th to July 13th. In late July, audiences can enjoy the comedy “Liars at a Funeral,” which promises plenty of laughs and surprises, running from July 16th to August 2nd. The season will end with “Beehive: The ’60s Musical,” a fun and energetic show that pays tribute to female pop stars of the 1960s. It runs from August 7th to August 31st.
