Summer officially begins today and it’s arriving with some serious heat.
A hot stretch of weather is expected to move in this weekend and continue into early next week. It could be the first real heat wave of the season, with humid temperatures feeling like low 30’s locally. Sunday and Monday are expected to be the hottest days, but the warm and sticky weather may last through much of next week.
Along with the heat, there’s also a chance of strong summer storms. Forecasters are watching a possible stretch of severe weather starting this weekend and continuing into the week. While not every area will see storms each day, some parts of Southern Ontario could be at risk daily.
People are reminded to stay cool, keep an eye on the forecast, and be prepared.
