The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) has announced that Andrew Bicknell is the new Manager of Water and Planning. He officially stepped into the role on June 30, 2025, following the retirement of longtime manager Geoffrey Cade. Cade worked with ABCA for nearly 20 years, first as a supervisor and later as manager, and is praised for his leadership and dedication.
Bicknell says he is honoured to take on this new role and looks forward to working closely with local municipalities, property owners, and others in the watershed. Before becoming manager, he served as ABCA’s Supervisor of Water and Planning and previously worked as Regulations Coordinator. He also brings nearly 20 years of experience in planning and regulations, along with time spent in consulting engineering and municipal work.
