Van Osch Farms is a third-generation family farm rooted in the rich soil of Alisa Craig. It all began in 1954, when their grandfather came to Canada and started with a single farm and a few dairy cows. By 1978, the farm was incorporated with the help of their father and uncle, who took over fully in 1985 and grew it into a thriving beef cattle and cash crop operation.
Today, Kurt and Jaron Van Osch, along with their cousin Brendon, carry on the family tradition. They’ve been working on the farm since childhood and are now at the helm of an impressive operation that feeds around 11,000 head of cattle and manages about 10,000 acres of crops. The fourth generation is already showing interest, keeping hopes high that the family legacy will continue.
In May, they opened a new farm store, giving them a chance to connect directly with the community, share how they raise their beef, and highlight the care and sustainability behind every product. Community support has always been vital to Van Osch Farms, and they believe strongly in giving back.
