The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has issued a first quarter payment of $201,065 to the Municipality of Central Huron for the period of April 1 to June 30, in recognition of hosting Gateway Casinos Clinton. Since the casino opened in August 2000, Central Huron has received a total of $14,552,696 in hosting payments.
These payments are made under the Municipality Contribution Agreement and are calculated using a consistent, graduated formula based on gaming revenue at each land-based casino site across Ontario. Since 1994, OLG has provided nearly $2.3 billion in non-tax gaming revenue to host communities across the province.
