The Ontario government is investing $524,012 in Huron-Bruce to support seven local festivals and events through the 2025 Experience Ontario program. Lisa Thompson, MPP for Huron-Bruce made the announcement on Wednesday morning of last week. This funding is part of a province-wide $20 million investment aimed at helping event organizers enhance programming, attract more visitors, and boost local economies by encouraging spending at restaurants, shops, and accommodations.
Local recipients include the Blyth Festival Theatre, Huron Country Playhouse, Lucknow and District Kinsmen Club, Kincardine Lighthouse Blues Festival, Goderich’s Salt and Harvest Festival along with the community’s Celtic Roots Festival and Port Elgin’s Pumpkinfest. In total, more than 350 festivals and events across Ontario are receiving support through the 2025 Experience Ontario program. A full list and financial allocations can be found below.
