The Bayfield Community Fair is set to return for its 169th year, bringing three days of fun, entertainment, and tradition to the village. The event runs from Friday, August 15th to Sunday, August 17th, and is organized by the Bayfield Agricultural Society.
Treasurer Jentje Steenbeek, says the schedule for the fair is jam-packed.
Saturday’s events kick off at 9am with Exhibits and Craft Vendors.
Visitors can also enjoy 4-H shows, horse shows, and children’s entertainment like Snippity the Clown, inflatables, and other activities. The evening will feature a ticketed concert with tribute bands to The Doobie Brothers and Blue Rodeo, hosted alongside Bayfield Town Hall.
Sunday continues with more horse shows, a church service, children’s activities, face painting, vendors, and a special new sheep herding demonstration in the afternoon.
Volunteers are welcome to help with the event. Anyone interested can sign up through the volunteer page at bayfieldfair.ca.
Steenbeek says the fair is about more than just events.
