The Weather Network says Ontario can expect a mild fall season before an abrupt shift into early winter in November.
Senior meteorologist Doug Gillham says warmer-than-normal temperatures should dominate September and October, giving residents plenty of chances to enjoy the outdoors.
But storm activity is expected to ramp up later in the season, bringing more precipitation and colder conditions.
The forecast suggests the transition into winter may be sudden and significant.
