UPDATE:
Police have cleared the scene on Main Street South in Exeter after a large investigation early this morning.
Around 7:40 a.m., officers confirmed that regular patrols had resumed and the higher-than-usual police presence in the area had come to an end. Two people are now in custody, and police say they are not looking for any other suspects.
No further details are being released as the investigation continues.
Police are asking people in Exeter to stay clear of Main Street South as officers continue an investigation in the area.
The Ontario Provincial Police said there will be more officers than usual on site but stressed there is no threat to public safety.
