Is the Huron Historic Gaol haunted? Visitors will have the chance to decide for themselves this October as the popular Ghost Tours return.
The guided tours take guests through the dark corners of the Gaol after nightfall, where staff share chilling stories about prisoners, staff, and others who once lived, and died within its walls. Guests will hear true tales of crime, punishment, and mystery, as well as accounts of strange encounters said to linger in the building.
Tours run every Friday evening in October, starting October 3rd. Two tours are available each night at 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $11 for adults and $7 for students or Museum members. Because space is limited, organizers recommend booking tickets early.
The tours are recommended for ages 12 and older, as some stories may not be suitable for younger audiences. Visitors should also be prepared for stairs, standing, and outdoor portions of the tour.
