The Bayfield Area Food Bank (BAFB) has reached its fundraising goal, allowing renovations on its new facility to be completed. The milestone was made possible thanks to strong community support, including a generous $30,000 donation from the Bayfield Lions Club.
The Bayfield Area Food Bank has served Bayfield and the surrounding communities for over 20 years. Hunger can affect anyone, from single parents to mature adults on fixed incomes, or individuals facing unexpected hardships.
To celebrate the new permanent location, BAFB is hosting an open house on Wednesday, October 29th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at 2 Jane Street, Bayfield. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m., followed by light refreshments.
