On Friday, October 10th, Huron County OPP responded to a report of an assault at Victoria Park in the Town of Exeter, Municipality of South Huron.
Police say 55-year-old local resident allegedly brandished a knife and assaulted two people. After the incident, the suspect initially fled on foot and resisted arrest. Officers later found him at another location, used pepper spray, and successfully took him into custody after a second resistance.
The suspect has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault, and two counts of resisting a peace officer. They were processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released.
