It’s Crabby Joe’s game day! The Exeter Hawks face off against Mount Brydges tonight at 8pm at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter. Hawks forward, Nate Schiedel, is looking forward to the matchup and says the fan support always makes a difference.
Schiedel started playing hockey when he was young.
Now 18 and in his second season with the Hawks, he plays centre, a position he’s stuck with since childhood.
After playing with St. Marys Minor Hockey and the Huron Perth Lakers, Schiedel is now making his mark with Exeter. He says one of the best parts of being on the team is the strong bond he’s built with his teammates and coaches.
Playing alongside his brother Jimmy makes the experience even more special. Schiedel says he loves coming to the rink every day and enjoys the atmosphere both on and off the ice.
Schiedel also had high praise for Hawks fans. He says the crowd’s energy helps push the team to play their best every game.
His message to fans?
Go tonight and cheer on your hometown Hawks! Come before or after the game and fuel up at Crabby Joe’s in Exeter.
