Norfolk County will join Canadians across the country in honouring veterans and active service members on Remembrance Day (today) with local ceremonies scheduled in several communities.
Residents are invited to attend services and pay tribute to those who have served during times of war, conflict, and peace.
Ceremonies will take place at 11:00 a.m. at cenotaphs in Simcoe, Port Dover, Delhi, Waterford, Fairground, and Port Rowan, with an additional service at 11:30 a.m. in St. Williams.
Earlier in the week, local residents also participated in wreath-laying events in Teeterville.
Norfolk County officials encourage residents to observe a moment of silence, attend a local service, or display a poppy in remembrance.
