With winter now here, residents are reminded to follow snow removal and parking rules in their communities. In South Huron, municipal crews work quickly to clear roads and sidewalks after snow or ice, but residents are encouraged to shovel sidewalks to keep pedestrians safe. On-street parking is not allowed during snow events at any time to help crews clear routes efficiently.
In Lambton Shores, parking on municipal roads is prohibited between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., a rule especially important during heavy snowfall. In the Municipality of Bluewater, winter parking restrictions run from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m., November 15th to April 15th, with similar rules in Central Huron and Huron East.
Residents are encouraged to know the rules in their municipality and help keep roads and sidewalks safe and clear. For questions about local snow removal policies, contact your municipality.
