The Huron County Museum in Goderich is welcoming families back for its annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 7th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Education and Programming Coordinator Michael Roy says the event is a simple way for families to enjoy the season together. The museum will be decorated for Christmas, including festive displays in the Victorian apartment and on the large steam engine.
A gingerbread house workshop will also take place that day, and participants can have their creations photographed for an online vote to choose Huron County’s best gingerbread house.
Roy says the open house continues each year because it brings people together and offers a fun, free activity for the community.
Visitors can also explore the Huron County Art Show, which includes more than 50 pieces of local artwork on display until December 14.
More details and gingerbread workshop registration are available on the museum’s website.
