Huron County Ontario Provincial Police have laid charges following an incident in the Town of Goderich.
Police say officers were called to a dispute on Lighthouse Street just before 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28th. Officers were told that property had been damaged at the location.
While police were investigating, the suspect threw liquid at one of the officers. The individual was arrested at the scene.
A 32-year-old man from Goderich has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and assaulting a peace officer.
The accused was taken to the Huron OPP detachment and later released from custody. A court date has been scheduled for February 2, 2026, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
