Huron County OPP are investigating a break-in at a rural home in the Municipality of Central Huron, south of Goderich.
Police say officers were called just after 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, after a break and enter in progress was reported. When officers arrived a few minutes later, they found signs that an outbuilding on the property had been broken into. The suspects and their vehicle had already left the area.
Video surveillance from that morning shows two suspects and a vehicle on the property.
Police say a large tan-coloured safe was stolen. The safe was about four feet tall and weighed more than 300 pounds. Inside was a large coin collection, including coins from around the world and several Canadian Mint coin sets still in their packaging.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer, dark-coloured SUV with chrome rims and a trailer hitch.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects and the vehicle involved.
