Build and decorate your own tiny bookshelf, then fill it with miniature versions of famously banned or challenged books – a fun, hands-on reminder of the importance of intellectual freedom. Conversation Circles are a great opportunity to practice English speaking skills and make new connections, while talking, listening, learning, and laughing about life in Canada. This is an all ages event. This is a drop-in program, no registration required.

TODAY: Badminton 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm The badminton program takes place on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM from September 17th, 2025 to June 17th, 2026. The program is designed for participants ages 14 and over and takes place in the large gym at the South Huron District Highschool located at 92 Gidley Street East in Exeter.  The cost per play is $3.00, please bring exact change. This year’s movies are “Headful of Honey” and “The Leisure Seeker”. TOMORROW: Goderich: Oral History Project: Turning Stories into History Workshop  6:30 pm – 8:30 pm The Huron County Museum & Historic Gaol is launching a new community oral history initiative designed to help preserve local stories, memories and lived experiences. To support the public in documenting their own histories, the Museum is hosting free workshops that will introduce participants to oral history project planning, interview techniques, recording basics, and ethical guidelines. Whether you’re working on a community project, building a family archive, or just want to interview your grandmother, this session will give you the tools and confidence to start.
