Huron County OPP are investigating a deadly crash in the Municipality of Central Huron.
The collision happened this afternoon, (Saturday, February 7th), around 2:00 p.m, on Base Line, between Lobb Road and Dutch Line, just north of the Town of Clinton. The crash involved a pickup truck and a van.
All four people in the van were taken to hospital. One passenger, a 38-year-old woman from Exeter, later passed away from her injuries. The driver of the van is still in hospital with serious injuries. The other two passengers suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was the only person in that vehicle. They were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Base Line was closed for several hours while police and emergency crews worked at the scene. The road has since reopened.
