George and Elaine Keller are long-time volunteers who have spent many years giving back to their community. While raising their children, they were involved with local sports, including Dashwood Minor Athletic and Zurich Hockey. Their commitment to volunteering continued even after retirement.
Today, George and Elaine volunteer with several local organizations. They are both involved with Jessica’s House, where George serves as the maintenance lead and helps keep the building running smoothly. Elaine also volunteers with the South Huron Hospital Auxiliary and Precious Blood Church. They say volunteering is something they truly enjoy and find very rewarding.
One of the most meaningful parts of volunteering for them is seeing how much families appreciate the support at Jessica’s House and the hospital. They are also proud of how generous the local community is, especially when people come together to support important services.
George and Elaine believe volunteers are essential to the community. They say organizations like Jessica’s House, the hospital, service clubs, and local sports could not survive without them. They encourage anyone thinking about volunteering to give it a try, saying it is very rewarding and the community support you receive in return is something you will never forget.
