A fun St. Patrick’s Day activity is returning to downtown Exeter.
The Exeter Business Improvement Area is bringing back the Leprechaun Hunt for a second year. The event will run until March 20th and invites residents to search for hidden leprechauns at local businesses across the BIA.
Caroline Hill, Business Manager with the Exeter BIA, said the event encourages people to explore the downtown area while having some fun.
Hill noted there are some specific rules participants must follow in order to be entered to win one of the prizes.
Participants who find all 10 leprechauns will be entered into a draw to win one of three “Pot of Gold” prizes.
Hill said the hunt was well received when it first launched last year, especially since it takes place during March break.
She added that events like this are important for the BIA because they bring people downtown and help highlight local businesses.
Clues about where to find the leprechauns are posted on the Experience Exeter Facebook and Instagram pages.
Participants have until March 23rd to submit their photos. Winners will be announced that evening after 5 p.m.
