A Bluewater resident is facing charges after a traffic stop in Goderich.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police say the stop happened on March 3rd, just after 10:20 p.m. on Bayfield Road in Goderich.
Police say the driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton, where breath tests showed results over the legal limit.
A 30-year-old from Municipality of Bluewater has been charged with impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance.
The vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days. The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Goderich at a later day.
