The Ontario government is investing $50,000 to help improve emergency preparedness in Lambton Shores.
The funding comes through the Community Emergency Preparedness Grant and will support local efforts to better respond to emergencies and keep residents safe.
The money will be used to bring new digital tools to Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services. This includes a system that will help crews access important information like emergency plans, hydrant locations, equipment details, and training records across all five fire stations.
The investment is also expected to help crews respond more effectively to emergencies such as flooding, severe storms, winter weather, power outages, and wildland fires.
Provincial officials say the funding is part of a broader effort to help communities across Ontario stay prepared and respond quickly when emergencies happen.
