Canada Post has announced the next stage of its plan to tackle crushing debt…stopping door-to-door mail delivery to 136-thousand more addresses across the country.
13 communities are affected and will start getting their mail through community mailboxes later this year.
Ottawa, Etobicoke and municipalities around Vancouver are the main areas being targeted in this next step.
Affected residents will be contacted by Canada Post and a special accomodation program is in place for those who aren’t able to get to a community mailbox.
