The Ontario government is providing nearly $58,000 to improve accessibility at the Seaforth lawn bowling facility.
The funding comes through the Enhancing Accessible Spaces for Everyone (EASE) grant and will be used to make the space easier to use for seniors and people with mobility challenges. Planned upgrades include safer pathways and fully accessible washrooms.
Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says the investment will help older adults stay active, connected, and involved in the community.
The province says the funding is part of a larger effort to support more than 40 projects across Ontario that improve accessibility and create inclusive spaces for people of all abilities.
Applications are now open for the next round of EASE funding. Municipalities, non-profits, and Indigenous communities can apply for support for projects such as ramps, accessible playgrounds, and improved public spaces. The deadline to apply is May 7, 2026.
The province says it will continue to invest in programs that help seniors stay active and engaged in their communities.
