Local McDonald’s restaurants are getting ready for one of their biggest fundraising days of the year.
Owner and operator Rob Reid says on McHappy Day, restaurants across the country will raise money for Ronald McDonald House programs.
Reid says the need for support continues to grow. He notes that many families rely on Ronald McDonald House, and the local house in London often has a waiting list each night.
On McHappy Day, a portion of all purchases will go toward the cause. Customers can also support by rounding up their orders or making a donation in-store. Special items, including McHappy Day socks, will also be available for purchase.
Reid says the day is always filled with energy, with local volunteers and community members joining staff to help raise money and awareness.
He adds that the support from the community makes a big difference and helps ensure families can access the care and support they need during difficult times.
