Construction work on Main Street South in Exeter is moving ahead of schedule, according to municipal officials.
Starting tomorrow, the in-town detour for northbound traffic during daily construction hours will change. Drivers heading north will now be directed along Wellington Street, Andrew Street, and Hill Street.
Officials say there will be no changes to the southbound detour route on Main Street.
The reconstruction project on Main Street South continues as crews work to upgrade the area. Municipal staff say the project manager is working directly with local businesses to help reduce disruptions during construction.
All businesses along Main Street remain open, and residents are encouraged to continue shopping local while the work continues.
