A new non-profit organization is working to help more local children take part in sports and recreation programs in Huron and Perth Counties.
All Access Athletics Association was created by co-founders Braden Radford and Wolfgang Schultz. The organization helps families who may struggle with the cost of sports registration, equipment, and other related expenses.
Radford says the group was started after months of planning and discussions about ways to support young athletes in the community.
The organization officially launched earlier this year after spending several months setting up its website, social media pages, and fundraising plans.
In addition to helping cover sports costs for children, Schultz says the goal is to encourage more people to get active and involved in their communities through recreation.
Schultz says that goal is part of the reason the organization is hosting its upcoming “Level the Field 5K” run in Clinton on June 14th.
Schultz noted that every child should have the right to play sports in their hometown.
Along with Radford and Schultz, the organization’s leadership team also includes directors Chase Stephenson and Owen Taylor.
Radford says they hope the organization can continue growing and help create more opportunities for young people to stay involved in sports for years to come.
