Huron County Pride is celebrating Pride Month with a full week of events planned across the county this June.
Chairperson Alex Jebson says organizers are excited to bring back Pride Week and the fourth annual Huron County Pride Festival.
This year’s theme is “Pride Through the Ages”.
Pride Week will run from June 2nd to 7th. The main Pride Festival will take place Saturday, June 6th in Goderich.
The festival has been moved this year to Lions Harbour Park to allow more room for vendors, performers, and community groups.
Events will also be held in several communities across the county.
Jebson says it is important for Pride events to be visible in rural communities, where some people may still feel isolated or unsupported.
Jebson also shared a message for anyone struggling with their identity or feeling alone.
Huron County Pride is also continuing to look for volunteers to help during Pride Week events.
More information, including the full schedule of activities, can be found on the organization’s website and social media pages at Huron County Pride
