Huron Shores Area Transit is bringing back its popular Summer Express Bus service, also known as the Beach Bus, starting Saturday, June 27th.
The seasonal service will run between London and Grand Bend with one stop in Exeter, giving residents and visitors an easy way to travel to local beaches and tourism spots without worrying about traffic or parking.
The Beach Bus will operate on Saturdays and Sundays throughout July and August, with four return trips each day. Special service will also be offered on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1st.
The first bus will leave London at 9:30 a.m. from the London Transit stop across from Masonville Mall. The final return trip will leave Grand Bend at 8:30 p.m. from the Sobeys Plaza bus stop. The Exeter stop will once again be located at the Walper Street and McDonald’s bus stop.
The service will also give local residents more travel options for trips to London for shopping, appointments, work, or day trips.
Online seat booking opens Monday, June 15th. Riders can reserve and pay online using debit or credit card. Seats are limited to 24 passengers per trip, and advance booking is recommended.
A round-trip ticket costs $24, while children 12 and under can ride free with a paying adult.
