A Wingham resident is facing several charges after a traffic stop involving an ATV in North Huron.
Huron County OPP say officers spotted an all-terrain vehicle being driven on Josephine Street in Wingham shortly before 11 p.m. on June 3rd. Police followed the ATV to an address on Edward Street, where they spoke with the driver.
During the investigation, officers determined the driver had consumed alcohol before operating the ATV.
Police also found that the driver was under a driving suspension and that the ATV did not have insurance or a licence plate.
As a result, a 30-year-old Wingham resident has been charged with several offences under the Off-Road Vehicles Act and the Highway Traffic Act.
