The Legislative Page Program offers Grade 8 students from across Ontario the opportunity to spend time in Toronto and gain firsthand experience with the province’s parliamentary process. Participants work in the Legislative Chamber during House sittings, deliver documents to MPP and Assembly offices, and take part in educational lessons and tutoring while making new friends from across the province.
Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson is encouraging eligible students to submit their applications before the deadline.
To be eligible, students must attend school in Ontario, be entering Grade 8 in the fall of 2026, and have an academic average of at least 80 per cent. Applicants are also required to submit an essay through the Legislative Assembly’s Page Portal.
The program is designed for students who are passionate about learning, leadership, and public service, while providing a unique behind-the-scenes look at how Ontario’s government operates.
Applications for the Fall 2026 term close on June 15th. Students and families interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to visit the Legislative Assembly of Ontario website before the deadline.
