An 18-year-old London resident is facing several charges after a traffic stop in Grand Bend led to an impaired driving investigation.
According to Lambton County OPP, officers conducted a traffic stop on Main Street shortly before 2:30 a.m. on June 14th.
Following an investigation, the driver was charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, being a novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero, and consuming liquor while under the age of 19.
Police also issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and impounded the vehicle for seven days.
The OPP continues to remind the public to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911 in emergencies. Concerns about impaired, aggressive, or careless driving can also be reported to the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
