Last week, you may have spotted members of the South Huron Fire Department going door-to-door throughout Exeter collecting donations for the Exeter Community Food Bank.
myFM caught up with Food Bank Manager Laurie Clapp, who told us what happened to the donations once they were collected.
Clapp says with kids home for the summer, demand for family-friendly food items often increases.
Those who were unable to participate in the food drive can still support the food bank through financial donations.
The food bank is also looking for volunteers. Anyone interested in helping can reach out through the Exeter Community Food Bank’s email or Facebook page.
Clapp thanked the community for its ongoing support, saying Exeter residents continue to step up and help local families when they need it most.
