Residents of Bluewater are being advised to expect increased activity around the Stanley Landfill as the Municipality of Bluewater prepares to begin work on the site’s final cover and cap.
Construction is scheduled to start this week and will involve heavy equipment, increased truck traffic, and construction vehicles accessing the site through the Stanley Community Centre parking lot. Municipal officials are asking residents to use caution when travelling in the area.
Despite the construction work, waste disposal services at the landfill will remain available. However, visitors may notice minor changes to site operations while the project is underway.
The Municipality says the work is an important part of the landfill’s ongoing management and is thanking residents for their patience and cooperation during the construction period.
More information about the project is available on the Municipality of Bluewater website.
