A recent charity competition at Claybird Gun Club here in Exeter raised over 13-hundred dollars for SafePet Ontario, which helps people across the province escape violence by providing a safe haven for their pets.
Club President Doug Moore tells myFM how the event came about.
And Moore says they have always supported Victim Services.
Karen Moffett with SafePet Ontario shares some scary stats with us.
Moffett says their organization gives people the time they need to get out of a dangerous situaiton and get back on their feet again, knowing their pet is well taken care of.
Moffett says SafePet Ontairo is always looking for foster homes for pets.
