OPP is asking for the public’s help as officers investigate a break-in and vandalism at a wind turbine in Lambton Shores.
Just before midnight on July 3rd, members of the Lambton County OPP responded to a report of a break-in at a wind turbine on Tomson Line near Rawlings Road.
Police say the investigation found that one or more unknown individuals forced their way into the turbine at around 11:30 p.m., damaging the entry door in the process.
Investigators are now working to identify those responsible.
Police are reminding the public that damaging or entering wind turbines can be extremely dangerous. In addition to the cost of repairs, people who enter the structures may be at risk of electric shock, fire, serious injury, or even death.
The investigation is ongoing.
