The municipalities of Huron County are looking for members of the public to serve on the Municipal Compliance Audit Committee.
Officials are seeking three committee members and one alternate to help oversee campaign finance compliance under the Municipal Elections Act.
The committee is required to be in place before October 1st of a municipal election year and is responsible for reviewing applications requesting compliance audits of municipal election campaign finances.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of the campaign finance rules outlined in the Municipal Elections Act. Previous experience serving on a committee, task force, or tribunal would be considered an asset.
Committee members will be paid a per diem and reimbursed for normal expenses by the municipality where a compliance audit application is received.
The successful applicants will serve a four-year term from November 15th, 2026, to November 14th, 2030.
Anyone interested in joining the committee is asked to submit a letter outlining their qualifications and experience by 12 p.m. on August 12th, 2026.
