Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating an arrest that took place in Grand Bend last month.
On June 13th, shortly before 11:30 p.m., Lambton County OPP responded to a disturbance at a business on Main Street.
One person was arrested during the incident. Police say the individual was injured during the arrest and was taken to hospital, where they were treated and released.
On June 26th, the OPP was informed that the injury was believed to be serious. Police then notified the SIU, which officially launched an investigation on July 8th.
Because the SIU is now investigating, the OPP says it cannot provide any further information at this time.
